Direct Care
Each client is screened to meet criteria for this center. At intake, the history-gathering phase begins. We operate under the assumption the treatment will be slow and proceed, as patient is able to tolerate. History gathering may take several sessions. In addition, clients are screened for depression, suicidality, general symptomatology and torture related symptoms/effects.
As assessment continues treatment also begins by working with the client on building trust and basic coping skills as well as beginning the collaboration process.
